ILLEGAL ALIENS, AMERICA'S ENEMIES

By Evelio Perez
As a Cuban-American and a Hispanic, I write this article with shame and disgust over the illegal immigration culture war presently dividing and infesting this great nation.

Have we Hispanics lost our minds? How in God's good name can we justify imposing our will and culture on our gracious hosts? Aren't we supposed to learn English and assimilate ourselves with the American way of life?

This current fiasco has nothing to do with bigotry and has everything to do with overrunning this country with failed people from failed countries and changing the political dynamics forever, some of these troublemakers are even trying to retake lost territory for Mexico! How do I know? They are telling us!

The United States government and its people have bent backward to be reasonable and humane with the illegal immigrants only to be called fascists and racists in their own country......... (This takes huge COJONES) Our way of life is being threatened and it is now time to take our country back......ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!

The United States government's duty to all of its citizens is to keep them safe from harm within the sovereign borders of this great nation. The moment that defending ourselves becomes politically incorrect is the moment that we have lost the battle for preserving any reasonable chance to keep our families safe from all illegal invaders, including the people that want to do us harm. We must completely close the borders and enforce the laws of the land, our survival depends on it.

I am embarrassed and ashamed of fellow (LATINOS) Hispanics that choose anarchy over the rule of law and this is not the first time. Their willful disregard of American laws and lives is displayed daily in most major cities with killer street gangs running amok selling drugs and terrorizing American neighborhoods. The anti-gringo fervor is at an all-time high and if we don't put a stop to all of this madness right now, we will all be responsible for the carnage that will follow.

As Cuban refugees we have also felt the wrath of our Hispanic Camaradas (Comrades), we were the minority within the Hispanic minority and we were looked down on for because we disliked Fidel Castro!

Do you know why they like Castro and El Che so much
folks? Because they stood up to the evil gringos, that's why. They could not understand why we would hate such a great hero of the common people, and because of that, we became the ignorant nuisance and embarrassment of the Hispanic community. We were ridiculed for choosing hard work over welfare and blasted for siding with conservative values that mostly sided with the Republican Party for all these years.

The day that I became a citizen of this country, I swore an oath that I would support and defend the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America. This pledge of allegiance was made with my full consent and total understanding of what all of this meant including my total commitment to the rule of law.

I do see pockets of decent Hispanics breaking out of the nanny state of mind that has kept many of them from reaching the American dream. It is my hope that they take up the mantle and lead the fight of standing up for America when America needs us the most because God knows that America stood up for us.................

Evelio, great article. I'm a born "Gringa" by place of birth and Super honored for the privileges of the country in which I live but very Cuban culture and also proud of that. I heard your message loud and clear. Immigrants need to ibid by the US Laws and stop displaying inappropriate behavior that makes it shameful to all Latinos. Since I support your post, I used the word Latino, however, as an American from Cuban Parents, I prefer to use Hispanic.

My applause to you and it makes me proud to know citizens as you who still find the time to care enough and educate based on factual documentation. Good Job!!

Thanks Anonymous Cubanita, It seems if we are not speaking of who the next Republican nominee should be, nothing else will get any attention..... I will from now on use the word Hispanic, it is a more accurate version of descendants from spanish speaking countries.............

Evelio, Many kudos to you... I certainly concur with your views. I love the way you articulated your post. I believe that no matter where you choose to live, you should conform to the country of choice as far as customs and traditions and learn to speak the language instead of expecting the country to change or to expect that they owe you something. Living in the USA is a privilege a great honor and that is how it should be thought of no matter the race, or nationality. No matter weather you are born and breed here or someone who comes here with hopes, dreams and aspirations of living the american dream. Well said my friend and thank you, you are certainly American on every level! To understand that Illegal has nothing to do with race and to communicate it the way you have done should be very enlightening to any who read it. Cheers to you my fellow American brother!

What a great article. You have pointed out the obvious with conviction, honesty and passion. You are a true American...be proud and keep spreading the word, my friend.

What a great article. Exactly what needs to be told so that Latinos and "gringos" are made aware of what is going on. I too am ashamed of what the illegals are trying to do with the help of La Raza and other militant groups. Children are being taught that the Europeans took America from them. The new latinos with the help of these militant, racist groups, do not want to assimilate and become American. Assimilating and becoming totally American is what helps an individual succeed. I wish we had more Hispanics like you that explains the problems we are having within the latino culture.

Thanks so much to all of you for the very kind and patriotic words, this is a very real and devastating problem that we are facing today in securing our borders and it is going to take all of our efforts to stand up to all who are facilitating the collapse of our national identity. In these coming elections of 2012 we must again lift our voices and scream for our survival, we the people and we alone are the last line of defense for our precious Republic, we are in a clear and present danger and for the sake of our children we must not fail....

They just come and stay for what they can get. NO, more do we have people, who actually Want to become Americans...It's very sad and Very Wrong and Something needs to be Done!! Again, Thank-You..

Thank Evello. This is a wonderful article you wrote and you should feel great pride in your heritage as well as becoming a citizen of the great country of the United States of America. It makes me feel proud to know there are people like you that do the right thing. You are wonderful example of a decent and courageous man.

I cannot thank you enough for writing this up. People who are on the outside of this situation, like on the northern states or guilty Caucasian liberals fail to see this. Not only do we deal with a sense of entitlement from these people, we deal with racism, especially if you do not fit their ideals of what a Latino (especially Mexican) should be.

It really makes me wonder...why does Mexico have the US's collective cojones in a vice grip? Why are the Feds bending over backwards for these criminal alien invaders, giving them more protections and benefits than actual citizens get. Does Mexico have oil? Lithium?

I, too, am a naturalized, tax-paying, hard-working American Citizen born in Cuba. My allegiance is to the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. My parents put our lives at risk at sea to escape communism and I am very, very concerned as well about the demonstrations taking place in CA with all the communist propaganda. As Cubans well know, it starts slowly and before you know it, Communism has taken over and all your freedoms are gone. Shame on ALL our politicians in Washington for ignoring this very serious issue and shame on the Obama administration for its failure to act on the open borders problem and leaning towards granting them amnesty. It all brings back reminders of when Castro, the saviour from tyrant Batista, took over. I'm very worried about the future of this country as a democratic society as well. Maybe we, Americans of Cuban descent or Cuban-born, need to become more vocal and get the attention of the rest of Americans who are quietly sitting back thinking that it could never happen here.

I am also of Hispanic heritage and a naturalized U.S. citizen and my loyalty is to the United States of America
I was very happy to see the wonderful responses from other American Hispanics to Evelio's article.
We Americans of Hispanic heritage need to raise our voice against La Raza's claim of our support. Moreover, we also need to raise our voice against the claim by the Congressional Mexican (aka Hispanic) Caucus that it represents our interests. The Congressional (so-called) Hispanic Caucus represent the interests of Mexico and its citizens illegally in this country.
I urge my fellow Americans of Hispanic heritage to sign up with Google to get all newspaper articles that refer to illegal immigration and write to them expressing our opposition to La Raza and the Congressional Hispanic Caucus. We are all Americans and we should not have congressional caucuses based on race or ethnicity.
Let's get rolling, folks!

My husband was born in Havana, but our kids were born in the US. He has long held that the "legals" needed to start speaking up. Many of those who are coming in Illegally and mock the US are the same people that many fled when they came to the US. The illegals are sucking up so many resources that the legals are struggling because of them. It is time for them to go home and go through the process.

The Republicans are so funny, when the economy is good you say let’s all celebrate “Cinco de Mayo, my brothers” but when the economy is down “it’s all your fault, you damn immigrant”. When most Americans (with Latin America roots) go to the polls this November we will remember that the GOP has gone on a nationwide rant in proposing and passing several anti-immigration legislation and have continue to blame the immigrant for the flat economy or worse. We will remember who stands with us and who stands against us, so trying to stop it now is somewhat funny, but go ahead, you will not change our minds. Plus the more radical of the GOP are now attacking our Constitution and our Bill of Rights, in a misguided attempt to garner some much needed votes, they really are fools, and leading the GOP towards obscurity because they are no longer a party of ideas, just of empty suits. Your hate made you do it, in November; you will reap what you have sown. I wonder what Abraham Lincoln would say today about the GOP, he unlike you was a man of ideas......Benito

Benito,
Why are illegal immigration laws bad for the United States?
And who gives anyone the right to dictate what laws should be broken in any sovereign country? You Benito? A screaming mob? People demanding rights they have not earned?
This is not about keeping Latinos out of America, if they want to come to America do it like the rest of the world does it,LEGALLY!
We are a nation of laws and this is about following the laws of the land and if this crap continues it will eventually destroy America as we know it.
American Citizenship should be earned and not taken, especially when so many gave their lives for it.......

Politicians and media elite are equating the Latino and Hispanic community of the United States with the ILLEGAL-alien population and it’s a political and national sham. It’s a deception that has unfortunately taken root among U.S. citizens of Hispanic origin. The ILLEGAL-alien issue is an “ethnic” issue. Those who oppose open borders policies have been considered anti-Hispanic and racist. It’s an argument primarily raised by the national media and the propaganda has been effective. It’s a con job and a scam. Unfortunately, Hispanics have swallowed it hook, line and sinker. The issue is not ethnicity; it's law and order and national sovereignty. The blow-back is starting to happen within the Latin community and many are distancing themselves from the ILLEGAL-alien diatribe pervading our politics and national dialogue. Puerto Ricans and Cubans are starting to resist the notion of them being associated or carrying the banner with the tide of ILLEGAL-aliens pandering and disrespecting the laws of the United States.

Hi Evelio,
"Thank you for your blog, which I just found today on the "Californians Against Illegal Immigration" page. http://www.facebook.com/l/oAQBGjXDl/evelio-perez.blogspot.com/2010/05/latino-friend-or-foe.html As the daughter of LEGAL immigrants to the US, having waited several yrs till their "number came up" so the family could immigrate LEGALLY via the QUOTA SYSTEM in 1954, I appreciate your blog. I'm born here legally in the US and not an anchor baby and I have no problem at all with LEGAL immigration, but ILLEGAL immigration here in the US and in CA where I live is rampant. Our sovereign borders and laws are disrespected by the people BREAKING IN to our country, coming here illegally. Our politicians are ALLOWING this to happen and to continue as not many are willing to even address the problem (thank you Gov Jan Brewer, and to various Mayors and City Councils around the country that are passing and trying to institute laws to protect American's and their rights). We need to be able to have our country protected from criminals of all types. (ps -- breaking in to a country is breaking the law, though it's the murders, rapists, drug sellers that are the most critical & immediate problem, even when thrown in to prison, we are supporting them with our TAXPAYER $$). The 1986 Amnesty under Pres Reagan was supposed to be the FINAL SOLUTION to the problem, and to stop the flow of illegals. Well they thought there were apx 1.5million illegals in the US at the time of the 1986 Amnesty, but apx 3million people came forward to apply for Amnesty. They say there's between 11million - 25+million illegals in the US now? So double that and see what we have. The 14th Amendment needs to be addressed and resolved to what it means and who it applies to. It was created to provide US citizenship to the SLAVES that were freed after the Civil War. This is being distorted to include any baby that is born on US soil, regardless of the parent's LEGAL/ILLEGAL status. This is very wrong. Check and see how many 1st World/industrialized nations provide immediate citizenship for any child born on their soil. You'll see that mostly 3rd world, evolving, emerging countries are the ones NEEDING human resources and encourage immigration. WE are not in that category. Again, this situation with our 14th AMENDMENT needs to be researched inside & out and resolved. ---------------- As I wrote on another person's page (Larry Elder Fan Page) about the Mexicans who were shocking anti-American rants recently at a sporting event, she said these were NOT illegals, they were LEGALS, since the ILLEGALS are working quietly and keeping to themselves as they are afraid to bring attention to themselves: ------- They are NOT hiding in the shadows. They are purchasing cars from the dealers all thru-out the SFV with signs in Spanish - no documentation needed, no license, no insurance, etc. (hand over cash and you've got a foothold and transportation). They send their kids to school for a FREE education (at our expense). They and their children get FREE medical care at ER's and "free" community health clinics (at our expense). They and their children get SUBSIDIZED HOUSING (Section 8) and NO documentation of status is required. They are taking away the finite # of subsidized housing units from our own poor, low income citizens & LEGAL immigrants. Their ANCHOR BABY children get Welfare / Food Stamps / WIC (and therefore the ILlegal parents get benefits for "dropping" a baby here on US soil). etc etc."

Evelio, I appreciate that there is another American Hispanic who boldly speaks against alien invaders. As an American Mexican who fiercely is opposed to illegal immigration, I am constantly called racist, sellout, etc. At this point, so be it. The fact remains that I am American first and foremost.

It's ironic how you said that the illegals calling Americans racists and facists takes COJONES, when the fact is, they HAVE NO COJONES. Rather than stand up to their goverments and fight, they tuck their balls up their butts and demand we feed and clothe them. They take the saying under the Statue of Liberty literally.

Now, Benito should be embarassed to have posted his ignorance for all to see. Everyone knows the fall of the economy is not 100% due to illegals' siphoning our economy, but they are an immense parasitical burden. Second, Benito, DO NOT put Hispanics in the "Hispanic Vote" bin. I do not believe there is a "Hispanic agenda". What racist groups like La Raza are referring to are programs specifically for illegals. I do not support any hispanic causes. I only support that which is for the good of Americans. Illegals are bad for America. Finally, Benito, Conservatives are 100% in favor of preserving the Constitution. By enabling illegals in giving them welfare (via Anchor Babies), passing the DREAM Act, and not deporting them, Obama and his Administration are VIOLATING the Constitution.

Benito, take a class on the Constitution. Take several classes. You're ignorance is amazingly evident and clear.

A lot of hate on this Blog. I just ran into it now. Yes Illegal Immigrants are a big issue and a growing problem. Especially in the western side of the country. Do to all the gangs and drug trafficking. But I would think that everyone on here including you Mr. Perez can see that Mitt Romney is the worst choice to take over the position of President of the United States. I see where all you're anger or frustration towards this one issue is directed at and I agree that our borders should be regulated and protected better. To stop all these drug and human trafficking gang members from coming into our country. Creating havoc and destruction. But Mitt Romney is not going to stop our problem. He's going to create more problems and make our worlds a lot worst. Now unless you're a multi-millionaire, cause if you are then I see why you want Mitt Romney to be our next President.

Then you should be more worried with what he's going to do to your wife, your children and your bill of health in the near future if he's elected. Let's say you and the rest of the people on here that have commented on this particular blog post and the other post that you have written, which I have read several of them. Let's say your wife, daughter or any of the women on here commenting get breast cancer or some crazy disease or even worst RAPED. Which I don't wish that on any of you ladies. They will be out of luck and most likely die or be forced to have a child that I know for a fact they would not want to have and they will get no assistance form health care because they won't most likely meet the requirements to get that assistance. Or if all your children, which like me are attending or deciding to go college, want to go and again unless all of you are rich, can't afford to paid for our tuitions. You and your child won't be able to get assistance or loans because of all the ed cuts that will be implemented if he takes office. Or let's say you Mr. Perez since you look like you got some age to you and are a handsome older gentleman. In a few years when you look to retire and you 'll be sticking your hand out looking for you Medicare benefits hoping to pay your doctor bills and any other medical need that you might run into. But your choice Mr. Mitt Romney and his VP Paul Ryan hands you and the lovely moms who have posted on your blog a voucher that only covers maybe 5 to 10% of your bill. What are you going to do, most likely lay in your death bed dying from whatever it is that your having health complications with. While your uneducated and unschooled or massively debt son or daughter is trying to care for you, possibly even taking care of your newly born grandchild that your child was forced to have because she was raped by some piece of garbage.

THERE'S A BIGGER PICTURE HERE THAT NEEDS TO BE LOOKED AT PEOPLE. IT'S NOT JUST OUR BORDERS. WHICH IF YOU WOULD OF FOLLOWED CURRENT EVENTS FOR THE LAST FOURS YEARS. OBAMA DID TRY TO SOMEWHAT FIX OUR BORDER ISSUES. BUT THANKS TO GREAT MEN AND REPUBLICANS LIKE YOUR FAITHFUL PAUL THE DOUCHEBAG RYAN STOPPED HIM FROM ACCOMPLISHING. It's amazing how people like yourself and those that have commented praise your blogging skills and opinion are so narrow minded that you let one issue be the reason for you to cast your vote. To let continue the real destruction of our country. Believe me that if Mitt Romney wins this election illegal immigrations is going to be the last issue you and the rest of your supporters are going to have to worry about. I hope you all think of the future of young hispanic americans like myself, your children and their children. Cause your vote for Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan is going to bury us all. No one will be left out of their destruction of the poor and now consider the middle class.

I am a proud Cuban American born in the city of Miami which you live in and every election I'm disgusted by all you older cubans that vote republican. I just don't get it. Tell me one thing the great republicans have done for our beautiful country of Cuba and for the Cubans in last 60 years. NOT A DAMN THING. I hope you read this and can honestly tell me what have the republicans done for Cuba ever. I hate Castro just as much as any other Cuban that's ashamed of what he's done to our people and our country. But please tell me what have republicans have done for us. I will be amazed if you can give me one. I think you should do a lot more research and direct your hatred towards those that are truly looking to put us all in a bad situation that we won't be able to get out of. Like the lying, vote suppressing, money hungry, racist that call themselves the REPUBLICANS of this 2012 election. You sir are supporting and promoting a bunch of lying killers and I'm ashamed that you are a cuban trying to represent us as a cuban. Just sucks that only those who really read your blog are going to be able to read my post.

Evelio said...

Anonymous, I also hear you hate and resentment directed to me and "THE MAJORITY" of patriotic CONSERVATIVE Cuban-Americans who chose the Republican Party to be their ideological representatives.

You sound disturbed, frustrated and furious, and even dangerous........ You said, Quote,
"You sir are supporting and promoting a bunch of lying killers and I'm ashamed that you are a cuban trying to represent us as a cuban. Just sucks that only those who really read your blog are going to be able to read my post."

Well Sir, or Madam, I have read your post and by the way, your hateful thoughts has not changed my mind in any way, in fact I feel pity and disappointment in you, who claims to be Cuban...
You could forget the reason of why we are all here? (unless you are a Cuban Government agent, trying to divide us)
We are here because we were fleeing COMMUNISM! There is no excuse for any Cuban that had their families abused, divided, deprived of any free speech and killed because we did not agree with our government.
Well Anonymous, you are either too young to remember or too young to have lived in that Communist hell hole.....
You sound like those same people who saw HOPE and CHANGE that yelled "PAREDON" (firing squad)in those rigged Kangaroo courts.

You come to my blog, insult and demean other Cubans for thinking different than you and you can't understand why we feel like we do?

In my case I am a Conservative,I believe in God, The right to bear Arms, The U.S. Constitution and the rights of the unborn.
I believe in the RULE OF LAW and securing our Borders.
I believe in Mitt Romney because I know him to be the real thing, not a manufactured puppet like your God, Obama.

It is not only about ideology, but about right and wrong.
I and most Cuban-Americans are going to continue to support The Republican Party, because they are the party that believes what we believe, and if that makes us killers in your eyes.... look in the mirror and see where the problem really lies....... The Shame Sir, is on YOU!

Anonymous said...

Evelio, first I will start with the fact that we both have the same GOD. Obama is not my GOD he is my PRESIDENT. Even your small minded view should be able to recognize and understand that. Obama is a man just like you, me and unfortunately Mitt Romney. I'm am not posting my opinion to try to change your mind because I know I can't. This was never my intensions. You chose to believe and follow in a breed of men that look to bring us common folk into a state of COMMUNISM, which apparently you are continuing to try to get away from. There's is not one issue that you have mentioned in your reply:

"In my case I am a Conservative,I believe in God, The right to bear Arms, The U.S. Constitution and the rights of the unborn.

I believe in the RULE OF LAW and securing our Borders.",

that our President has try to remove, change or disassemble. If fact he has tried to make those issues more reasonable and attainable for the American people. It is the side you chose to follow that has made it a fact and a point to oppose every single option that our President has brought to the table since his first day of office.

If that doesn't resemble every sense of COMMUNISM, then I don't know what does. Because when it comes down to MY WAY OR NO WAY just how the Republicans have been conducting themselves for the last 12 years. Which by every report and statistical data points to why our country is facing all the problems were in. Republicans have been fixing elections and destroying this country for far to long for the sole gain of profit no matter how many lives are lost. What happened to we the people and not how much can I get if I do that for you. It's funny how an unborn cell, fetus or any stage of the pre-birth process is such a big issue but the women that carry that unborn is not. I mean, there's too many issues that I could bring up and all you conservatives care about is I, ME AND MYSELF. It's not an I set of issues. Its an US set of issues. But you're right when you say that I'm frustrated. But it is you and those who think like you that is the true danger to yourself and others for wanting to follow the ideals of men that are willing to let people just fail, fall and die away. I do not hate you, I don't hate anyone. But I at least have the common sense not to believe a man when his lying straight to my face like Mitt Romney and the rest of the Republican party is doing to every American every time he opens his mouth.

The fact that you have resort to slandering someone for having their own beliefs and expressing them in a country that is supposed to be all about Freedom, just makes whatever argument you tried to prove to a lot of us, null and void.
I have a friend that is a Democrat. I have her on facebook and despite the fact that I myself am a Republican, I do not slander her or her personal viewpoints. If she wants to support Obama, she is free to do so. I have nothing against it. So why must you do it with Mr. Perez?
I haven's seen this kind of attack since Venezuela. And yes, I am comparing you to a Chavista. Just in this case, as a Hispanic I would label you as Obamista. Same fascination towards someone.
You want to believe Romney will make life worse for us? So in your own viewpoint, socialism is a good thing. From what I can understand from your ramblings, you only wish for that out of sheet hate for the rich. The poor feeling looked down upon by those with more money.
Let me make this clear, I adore the fact that in this beautiful country we do have three social classes. Shows that some of us, have done well in life. As an individual it makes me feel good about myself that I can be labeled middle class. I am not looking down on anyone. Every opinion I make. Every statement I write, I do it thinking of my children. Not myself. Not at all.
I only have one wish, and that is to be able to give my children what has been given to me by my very gracious parents.
To you Mr. Perez... GRACIAS!
