This has not been a good week for Rep. Michelle Bachmann in her attempt to portray herself as a serious contender for The Republican presidential nomination and many Republicans are correctly wondering and asking themselves if she can fight off the idiot label that is about to be placed on her by her many political enemies. .

Bachmann's crowning week started on a disastrous note beginning on Sunday as she was stunned by a question posed to her by "Fox News Sunday" Anchor Chris Wallace in which he simply asked Bachmann "Are you a flake?"  Wallace might as well have called her a dimwitted idiot which would have had the same similar crushing effect and unfortunately for Bachmann, the damage was done.

If there was one moment in her campaign that you could point a finger at changing the momentum, this was it, her hopes for the nomination has just taken a devastating hit.

Rep. Michelle Bachmann
The train-wreck continues on the day Mrs. Bachmann announces her candidacy for the presidency in Waterloo, Iowa, she then proceeds to honor a serial killer, again making the case for the kooky comments syndrome. During her speech, Bachmann proudly promised that she wanted to mimic the spirit of Waterloo's John Wayne.............eeeehhhh, except the John Wayne that was from Waterloo was, John Wayne Gacy,  who  was actually famous for the rape, torture and murder of 33 teenage boys and young men.

Rep.Bachmann hiding in
the bushes during a gay rally.
Later on during an appearance on ABC"s "Good Morning America" Rep. Bachmann was speaking about how America's Founding Fathers worked tirelessly to end slavery and proclaimed John Quincy Adams (that's right, Quincy) as a founding father, but then ABC's George Stephanopoulos corrected Mrs. Bachmann and correctly stated that many of the country's Founding Fathers, including Thomas Jefferson and George Washington had many slaves. He also correctly added that John Quincy Adams was not one of the Founding Fathers, he was a president, he was a Secretary of State and he was a member of Congress.
He later asked Rep. Bachmann if she stood by her comments, and her reply was that she did.

In another historical boo boo by Mrs. Bachmann, she  told a group of local Republicans, in New Hampshire,  "You're the state where the shot was heard around the world in Lexington and Concord." ..........EXCEPT ............ the first shots of the Revolutionary War,  were not fired in New Hampshire, but in Massachusetts.

From comparing of our current economic problems to the Holocaust, claiming carbon dioxide a safe gas to hiding in the bushes during a gay rally, these past and present "flaky" comments and actions will be seen my many republican voters as unbecoming and unacceptable for someone who wants to be the president for all of the people, even former Bachmann Chief of Staff Ron Carey says that she does not have "the judgment, the demeanor, and the readiness" to be president.

The Bachmann campaign should have known and prepared better for the expected onslaught of the congresswoman's past and present actions and are going to have to do a lot better in prepping Mrs. Bachmann for future interviews and speeches if she is to be a viable candidate for the republican nomination.

Michelle Bachmann is a good woman with a lot of admirable qualities but, she has shown time and time again that she is too "FLAKY" and not prepared to end her consistent pattern of kooky actions and comments, this and the fact that the media has found it's useful idiot will be too much to overcome...........
